If you are in search of 5 star, luxury accommodation in the heart of Frankfurt, look no further than the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof Hotel. Following the hotel’s major renovation in 2013, it has gained a reputation for being a place where traditional meets modern luxury. Over the years, the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof Hotel has hosted a plethora of celebrities such as Elton John and the Rolling Stones. I stayed in one of their Grand Deluxe rooms during my trip to Frankfurt.
Location. Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Frankfurt, within close proximity to the business, shopping and cultural centres. Whether your trip is for business or pleasure, getting from A-to-B certainly won’t be an issue.
The Room. The newly renovated Grand Deluxe rooms are wonderfully spacious (approximately 36-45 sqm) with a stylish warm-grey and mahogany theme. The rooms are equipped with all of the services, facilities and mod cons that you would expect from a luxury hotel. There is complimentary WiFi, flat-screen TV, hairdryer, safe, individually controllable air condition, luxurious bathrooms with toiletries by Aigner and complimentary access to the spa included.
Business Travel. The Grand Deluxe rooms come with an extra-large desk and telephone, which is useful for business travellers. In addition, there is free WiFi that is ultra-easy to connect to – all you need to do is full in your room number and second name. If you happen to forget your power adaptor as I did, they are available to borrow from reception.
Balcony. The room is equipped with its own generously sized balcony and floor to ceiling windows that can be fully opened. My balcony had a nice view of the inner-yard of the hotel.
The Bathroom. The full marble bathroom is wonderfully opulent – it’s kitted out with two basins, full-sized toiletries, a separate walk-in shower room that has colourful ‘mood’ lighting and a rather lovely bathtub. I was rushed off of my feet during my time in Frankfurt, so getting to unwind in the bath at the end of the day was like heaven.
The Spa and Gym. Access to the luxurious 1000sqm European spa is included with the room. It’s dedicated to the ‘art of wellbeing’ and includes a Hammam, treatments individually aligned to your body and skin type and male grooming. The hotel also has a well kitted out gym with aerobic and cardio facilities.
Extra Services. 24-hour room service, laundry, valet and shoeshine service, free newspapers, limousine service, Express check-in/out, butler service. There are also themed suites and a presidential suite available.
The Steigenberger Hotel Group has 98 hotels across Europe and Asia and after my comfortable stay with them in Frankfurt, I would definitely book with them in the future. Even if you don’t stay as a guest at the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof Hotel, it’s still worth a visit for its bars and restaurants, which have helped to make it one of the city’s social hubs. I highly recommend a visit to the recently opened Pan-Asian restaurant Breeze, which I have dined at myself.
If like me, you love a good sea view, then I have a great place in Cornwall to show you. The Polurrian Bay Hotel is perched on the cliffs of the Lizard Peninsula, so it has some incredibly stunning views out across the ocean for as far as the eye can see. I’d not...
It’s always a great feeling when you open the door to a hotel room and are impressed by what’s on the other side. This was the case for me when I caught a glimpse of the view of London’s city skyline from my room at Motel One, Tower Hill. In a city where...
I typically opt to stay in hotels during my travels, however, I've recently found that serviced apartments are a great alternative, especially for longer stays. Last month, I stayed at a Go Native serviced apartment in Monument, which had beautiful views of London's...
