Air France recently put on a rather special soirée for its partners, in celebration of the airline’s legacy and future.  The event featured a runway showcase of Air France’s flight crew uniforms, dating back to the 1930s and its first commercial flights.  I was lucky enough to be invited along for the ride!

In essence of the ‘high life’ the event was hosted at the top of the Millbank Tower, which boasts stunning views across London.  It was an evening of chocolates, champagne and gorgeous models.  A winning combination if you ask me!

There were some heavenly sweet things to nibble on, courtesy of La Maison du chocolat, one of Paris’s top chocolatiers.  After indulging in a fair amount of chocolate and champagne, the catwalk show got underway.  Over the years, the Air France uniforms have been designed by an array of top designers, including Balenciaga and Christian Dior.

The models looked incredible in their vintage outfits.  However it wasn’t just the models that were the main talking point of the event, Air France had imported in one of the new business class seats for us to test out, which are ultra-comfortable and spacious.  The seat fully reclines so you can sleep in comfort.

After the catwalk, there was more mingling and champagne.  Of course, we had to get a few snaps of the stunning view before we left.  It’s safe to say that Air France knows how to put on a stylish event.  Before we knew it, it was time to head home.  I suppose you could say that the evening flew by (haha sorry, I just couldn’t resist).
