For me, it’s a bit of a ritual to go to a rooftop bar whenever I am in a new city.  What better way to do some sightseeing than with a drink in hand?  My first ever trip to Singapore was no exception and so one of my local friends suggested that we grab some drinks at 1-Altitude the world’s highest alfresco bar.  Located in the city’s business district, Raffles Place, it boasts unparalleled 360-degree views of the city that certainly won’t disappoint.

I recommend visiting 1-Altitude in the evening, just before sundown, so that you can watch the sunset over Singapore’s skyline.   You can also spot all of the city’s main focal points such as the Marina Bay Sands Hotel and the Singapore Flyer.

No trip to Singapore would be complete without trying its signature cocktail, the Singapore Sling.

1-Altitude has a great vibe.  The furniture is illuminated with multicoloured light which looks amazing once it gets dark.  There’s often live music playing too, which creates a great atmosphere.

1-Altitude’s stunning views speak for themselves.  I would highly recommend visiting next time you are in Singapore.
